During our last Adobe Connect session we were assigned a Meme project. Before the parameters of the project could be explained I was kicked out of the session because of internet issues (I wasnt able to pay the bill so my service was cut off). Due to this unforseen complication I wasnt assigned to a group nor was I able to post it till right now. However; I chose this meme in particular because I feel a certain allegiance with the Dos Equis man since I’m Mexican myself. The message I am trying to convey in this meme is echoed in both chapters five and six as well as the majority of the book. As we have learned when creating a web site it is not like writing a paper: in so far as the smaller amount of information the better. Furthermore the faster you get to the point the happier the viewer will be so therefore it is suggested to author write in an inverted pyramid style starting with the most pertinent information first then tapering back to less poignant discourse.

Love Looks Not With the Eyes, But With the Mind. -William Shakespeare
I chose to merge a swastika, two same sex couples, a mushroom
cloud, a sunset, and a picture of my girlfriend and myself together in order to create this photo. To me, the quote means that love is boundless, if it is able to be imagined then therefore it is tangible. Furthermore it explicates that love is open to interpretation, no two ideas of love are exactly the same nor are the expectations. I chose to use the same sex couples in conjunction with the picture of myself and my girlfriend to personify the idea that love is
limitless. There has been and still is a lot of debate on same sex couples, I believe that love is love regardless of the appendage your partner has. I chose to use the symbol of the swastika because pre-Third Reich, (Before Hitler bastardized the symbol); it stood as a symbol of love and religion for nearly 3000 years. The name swastika literally means “to be good”or “to be with higher
self.” Though it has been readorned as the symbol for hate, genocide, and atrocious war crimes, it will always have a religious meaning with the connotation of love for all in my mind. I chose a mushroom cloud picture taken at the drop of the bomb over Hiroshima. Again, this occurrence in history has a blemished memory, but to me it again stands for undying love. Love of the service men for our county, love for the idea of freedom, and lastly love for
the idea that regardless of what transpires, we will do what it takes to protect ourselves as a nation. The sunset being the base of the photo to me stands for the perfection found within nature. Lastly the photo of my girlfriend and I faded into the background personifies the idea that love looks with the mind rather than the eyes. Regardless of the issues we encounter, or adversities we
face we still triumph time and time again.
