Hello! My name is Raymundo Gomez, but I go by Rico. I'm a junior at Old Dominion Univeristy currently seeking an undergraduate degree in English with a literature emphasis. After graduating I intend to teach at the Highschool level while seeking a masters degree in family and drug counseling. This course seemed particularly interesting to me because I am quite unfamiliar with web design and the like and hope to become proficent if nothing else.
Persona Project

I wasn’t in class last week so therefore I didn’t participate in
a persona project, but my classmates have filled in the gaps I have. So one of
my class members’ groups was assigned the perspective of an older returning
student. Looking at the webpage through the lens of an older individual
broadened my perspectives. Naturally being 21, and from the era when technology
hit its peak in terms of invention, websites are easy to puzzle out.
However, using the perspective of an older individual explicated that
navigating a page isn’t necessarily something that comes naturally. Having
this knowledge added the idea that perhaps using the K.I.S.S. method is
best. The kiss method is: keep it simple stupid. Over simplifying and
keeping everything basic is key when trying to ensure universal understanding. Specifically I would group like information with each other, I would color code necessary information to facilitate understanding, and lastly I would include brief descriptions of what the links are when the cursor is held over it.
